A Doniphan man attempted to hold up the Poplar Bluff Post Office on the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 27.
Roland D. Davis, 50, was arrested on suspicion of first degree robbery at the post office at 403 Poplar St., after reportedly mailing a package, then reaching to pull something out of his pants while telling employees to give him all their money.
Employees fled and called 9-1-1, according to police reports. Officers said Davis was found knocking over computers and attempting to reach over the counter when they arrived.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to Butler County jail, officers reported. Davis is being held without bond.
