SIKESTON, Mo. — Teddy Wayne Teasley of Morley departed this world Dec. 22, 2021, destined for his new heavenly home.
Teddy was born April 12, 1947 to the late Elbert and Martha Ellen Teasley of Norton, Virginia.
In 1971, Teddy married his sweetheart, Joyce Elaine Nuckles.
Teddy was member of the First Church of God in Lilbourn and of Poplar Bluff. In the early years, Teddy worked for the New Madrid Power Plant where he met many lifelong friends. Teddy loved life and adored his fur baby, Bambi. Teddy always had an energetic mind and quite the character if anyone had the chance to know him. He truly enjoyed singing, playing his guitars, tinkering or creating something different on anything involving a motor and wheels. Teddy absolutely loved singing on his karaoke machines and encouraged anyone to participate.
Teddy’s survivors include daughter, Jeannie; and son, Wayne; six grandchildren: Dylan, Kristen, Colleen, Joseph, Matt, Heather: 8 great-grandchildren: Gary, Veronica, Maddie, Makenzie, Haven, Andrew, Seth, Kelly and Naomi, and siblings, Johnny, Ernie and Wanda.
Teddy was preceded in death by his sweetheart of over 50 years, Joyce, his parents, his son, Danny and siblings Jerry, Willis, Terry, sisters, Nancy, Shirley, Betty, Sue, Bobby and Ruthie.
As our hearts grieve for our Precious Poppy, we will rejoice in knowing he is at his Forever Home with his precious family, wife and son.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 7, from 5 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home.
