Firefighters were dispatched at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, to the 1200 block of Mill Street, where it was reported there was smoke in the air. It was investigation only.

Carl L. Tooley, 55, who listed County Road 523 and Pine Street addresses, was arrested at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, on Pine Street on suspicion of possession of amphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with being a registered sex offender living within 1,000 feet of a school. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Jesse J. Lemonds, 31, of the 1400 block of Highway 53 was arrested at 10:29 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Probation & Parole on a warrant. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Kenneth L. Rowe, 35, no address listed, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of first-degree trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Michaela L. Hale, 23, of the 600 block of Kinzer was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of stealing and possession of a controlled substance. She was released pending review of her case.

Terrell L. Ward, 49, of the 2400 block of Highway 53 was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Probation & Parole on a Jefferson County warrant for driving while suspended or revoked. He was booed at the Butler County jail.
BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
Thomas R. Cecil, 55, of Broseley was booked Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Butler County jail on a writ of habeas corpus and a warrant for first-degree sodomy.

Kelly A. Clossen, 43, of Whitehall, Arkansas, was booked Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of stealing.

Christopher L. Hackle-Cade, 24, of the 900 block of County Road 661 was booked Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.

Quintin W. Schultz, 39, of Qulin was booked Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Butler County jail on a failure to appear warrant for fourth-degree assault and three warrants for driving while revoked and resisting arrest (X2).
MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
An 18-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, on Oak Grove Road, one-half mile west of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Christian M. Pritchett, 18, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2018 Nissan Altima eastbound when it struck the rear of an eastbound 2019 Ford F-450 operated by Alfred J. Prewitt, 41, of Poplar Bluff.
Pritchett was transported by private conveyance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
