On the night of Nov. 14, 2021, Regina Mae Cook, 50, of Neelyville, Missouri, passed away in her home.
Regina started her life’s journey Dec. 30, 1970 born to Gerald Eugene Cook and Mae E. Cook alongside her identical twin sister Tina Cook. Regina had two children, Kristina and Dylan of whom she loved very much.
Regina was religious and always said that Jesus was her best friend. Even during the toughest of times she always had faith that God was with her and would get her through. She expressed her faith of God often, even encouraging her children to follow God. She was adamant that God had a specific plan for her and her children and to always trust God’s plan. Regina was a strong-minded and independent woman. She had clear goals and when her mind was made up, there was no stopping her. Regina loved to travel and loved nature. Her favorite places were in Oregon, among the redwood trees and sitting by the ocean.
Regina had a very creative soul and was a very gifted writer. She wrote poetry and music that were both eloquent and powerful. She enjoyed meeting new people and expressed this during her last several months of life while working at Hobby Lobby. She was known to bring a smile to the face of complete strangers just with her kind greetings and personality. Her co-workers described her as always cheerful and full of life.
Among Regina’s many talents and hobbies she enjoyed singing and fishing the most and was very talented at both. To Regina, the world was an adventure with endless possibilities, one she called her life’s journey. For some, death is a journeys end, but for Regina, her journey has just begun.
Regina has four sisters, two brothers, two children and three grandchildren. Regina is survived by her dad, Gerald E. Cook of Fairdealing, Missouri; her daughter, Kristina Ainley and husband, Ryan Ainley of Naylor, Missouri; her son, Dylan Causbie of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; her twin sister, Tina Cook of Caruthersville, Missouri; sister, Judy Gamble of Flemming, Missouri; sister, Kay Spencer of Poplar Bluff; Brother, Randy Crum of Belleview, Florida, Brother, Charles Crum of Jacksonville, Florida.
Regina is preceded in death by her mother, Mae E. Cook; sister, Becky Cook; grandfather, Charles M. Bagby; grandmother, Ruby Bagby; grandmother, Katherine Bagby; grandfather, Clayton Cook, and grandmother, Stella Cook.
