Jeremy N. Boggs, 18, of Doniphan was booked Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance at a jail, operating a vehicle without a valid license and on a warrant for driving while revoked. He later was released.

BUTLER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

County firefighters responded to a call at 5:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at 2926 Highway B, where a gas leak was reported. They checked the outside propane tanks and inside the residence and found no leak.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to a call at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, of an unauthorized burn in the area of Lexington and Grand Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a small fire burning behind 1503 Grand and used five gallons of water to put it out.

Firefighters responded at 10:49 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, to a call about a fire alarm sounding on Holly Trail. Upon arrival, they found nothing and a building maintenance person at 2701 Holly Trail said the alarm was set off accidentally.

Destiny J. Thompson, 19, who listed Center Street and Arkansas Street addresses, was arrested at 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of first-degree burglary, stealing and a warrant for larceny. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Angela D. Alsup, 57, of the 400 block of North Second Street was arrested at 7:71 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at her residence on a warrant for dangerous drugs. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Hatfield, 23, who listed multiple Poplar Bluff addresses and a Puxico address, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Ricks 66 on suspicion of resisting arrest, two probation warrants on original charges of tampering with a motor vehicle and burglary, and two Butler County failure to appear warrants for stealing and no insurance. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Tianna L. Eckroth, 26, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in Butler County on a misdemeanor Butler County failure to appear warrant for no driver’s license and on suspicion of no driver’s license. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

A 10-year-old girl sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, on Highway W, one-half mile north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Erica L. Gibbs, 42, of Williamsville was operating a 2014 Toyota Sienna southbound when it failed to yield and struck the rear of a southbound Jeep Liberty operated by Rebecca L. Knuckles, 32, of Williamsville.

A 10-year-old passenger in Knuckles’ vehicle was taken by private vehicle to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Dennis D. Morgan, 34, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:53 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in Butler County on a Butler County felony probation violation warrant, and on suspicion of felony leaving the scene of an accident, felony possession of methamphetamine, operating a motor vehicle with no valid driver’s license, speeding (26 or more miles per hour over the limit), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, failure to stop at a stop sign and no seat belt. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

A 22-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 6:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, on Highway 67, one mile north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Corey J. Lutton, 32, of Ellsinore was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox westbound when it pulled into the path of a northbound 1986 Toyota Corolla operated by Weston Z. Baker, 22, of Poplar Bluff, resulting in Baker’s vehicle striking the side of Lutton’s vehicle.

Baker was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
