Andrew J. Hill, 18, of the 2000 block of Thomas Street was booked Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of second-degree burglary and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle.

Brittany D. Peoples, 23, of Doniphan was booked Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for possession of marijuana. She later was released.

Marcus D. Powell, 39, of the 15000 block of Woodrow Street was booked Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of armed criminal action, first-degree assault and possession of marijuana.

Heather D. Tyler, 36, of the 1700 block of Illinois Avenue was booked Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of delivering a controlled substance to a jail and a warrant for second0degree harassment.

Amanda C. Young, 24, of the 2200 block of Ruth Drive was booked Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for second-degree burglary.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Poplar Bluff Middle School, 1300 Victory Lane. No fire was found and the malfunctioning alarm was taken out of service until it can be repaired.

Firefighters responded to a call at 8:57 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, of a fire in the 300 block of South Seventh Street. It was investigation only.

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, 3100 Oak Grove Road. The hospital was conducting a fire drill and the alarm was not supposed to sound.

Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, near the intersection of Sixth Street and Park. Upon arrival, they found a large brush fire in the vacant lot at 521 Park. They used 100 gallons of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 11:44 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, to the old Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center South Campus, 600 W. Pine St., to a report of someone on the roof. They set up a ladder so police could access the roof, but nobody was found.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Brandon L. Ransom, 30, of the 180 block of Hampton Court was arrested at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 1401 S. Broadway on a Poplar Bluff warrant for domestic assault and a Tennessee Probation violation warrant. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Joshua I. Hassig, 34, of Doniphan was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, in Carter County on suspicion of DWI (persistent). He was processed and released.
