FISK, Mo. — John Travis Maclin, 87, of Sikeston, Missouri, formerly of Bernie, Missouri, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
Mr. Maclin was born May 31, 1934 in Keiser, Arkansas, son of the late Robert Arthur Sr. and Lula Bell (McPeak) Maclin.
He was a member of River of Life Church in Dexter, Missouri. John enjoyed deer hunting and riding motorcycles. On Aug. 16, 1952, he married Della Nickerson. She preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2001.
He is survived by one daughter: Barbara (Rodger) Williams of Broseley, Missouri; two sons: Darrel Maclin of Sikeston and Richard (Sheila) Maclin of Centerton, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law: Vicki Maclin of Riverview, Florida; 17 grandchildren: Teresa, William, John, David, Amy, Rodger, Stacie, Brian, Sarah, Elizabeth, Samantha, Jonathan, Sydney, Savanna, Tyler, Trey, Kali; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Mary Hutson of Poplar Bluff.
He also was preceded in death by one son: Myron T. “Mick” Maclin; one daughter: Diana Simpson; one daughter-in-law: Kim Maclin; three brothers: J.B. Maclin, Robert Arthur Maclin Jr., and Abraham Lincoln Maclin; and four sisters: Wilma Marie Parker, Ruby Inez Green, Billie Jean Ellis, Lou Ellen Ollis.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Pennington officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
