Firefighters responded to a call at 11:44 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, of a vehicle fire at C&F Auto Salvage, Highway 53. Someone was welding and a piece of hot metal got into the vehicle, sparking the fire. Firefighters used 2,000 gallons of water to put the fire out, but it damaged 16 vehicles.

A 17-year-old female sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, on County Road 441, three miles west of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, a 17-year-old male was operating a northbound 2021 Can-Am Maverick southbound when it ran off the roadway, overcorrected and crossed the center of the roadway, striking a northbound 2013 Nissan Altima operated by a 17-year-old female.
The juvenile female was transported by private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Two juvenile females sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, on Highway E, eight miles south of Doniphan.
According to the report, a 17-year-old female was operating a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe southbound when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.
The 17-year-old driver and a 15-year-old female passenger both sustained minor injuries and were transported via Medic One to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
