NEELYVILLE — Richard Ray Winder, 78, of Harviell, Missouri, passed away Oct. 13, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born, Oct. 1, 1943 at Poplar Bluff to the late Lyman Winder and Virgie “Stock” Winder. On April 17, 1970, he was married to Margie Dollins at Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2001...

NEELYVILLE — Richard Ray Winder, 78, of Harviell, Missouri, passed away Oct. 13, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He was born, Oct. 1, 1943 at Poplar Bluff to the late Lyman Winder and Virgie “Stock” Winder.

On April 17, 1970, he was married to Margie Dollins at Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2001.

He is survived by his children, Jason Winder and wife Lisa of Harviell, Missouri, Kimberly Winder of Naylor, Missouri, and Becky Hale and husband Travis of Fairdealing, Missouri; a special friend, Susie Tinker; and eight grandchildren, Colton, Tristin, K’leigh, Preston, Grant, Jasmine, Jalynn and Wade; and six great grandchildren. His twin sister, Carolyn Smith of Farmington, Missouri, and one brother, Charles Winder, of Florida also survive.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and one sister, Betty Hodge.

Richard had served in the United States Army and enjoyed, gardening, hunting, fishing, camping, grilling, spending time with friends and watching Gunsmoke.

Visitation for Richard will start at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelyville, Missouri. Pastor Allen Leutert and Pastor Donnie Fowler will officiate with the burial in the Roberts Cemetery near Neelyville.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Margie Winder Memorial Scholarship at Peoples Community Bank or to Kim Winder, 4093 Ripley Route B, Naylor, Mo., 63953.
