Tina S. Woods, 68, of Paragould, formerly of Corning passed away Oct. 6, 2021 at Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Woods was born Jan. 28, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late J. V. and Lena (Starr) Smith. She was raised in the Knobel area and later in the Corning area. She worked in several family businesses including bookkeeping and spent several years in retail with Woods Department Store in Corning.
Tina was an active member of the Arkansas Municipal League and was elected for two four-year terms as Corning City Clerk.
Afterward, Tina and her husband purchased Bluff Lanes in Poplar Bluff as co-owners in 1994. In 1998, they became 100% owners of Bluff Lanes. Tina operated the business and knew many people in Poplar Bluff. They closed Bluff Lanes in 2015 due to health reasons.
Tina loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, flower gardening, photography, playing the piano, bowling and listening to music. She attended University of Arkansas and was an active member of the Razorback Foundation. She was an avid Razorback fan and season ticket holder. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Corning.
On July 14, 1973, she married David Woods. They recently celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Other survivors include her children Mark (Dalene) Woods of Corning and Stephanie Moser of Batesville and grandchildren Marka and Bentley Woods and Katelyn and Kaleb Moser.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday Oct. 10, 2021 First United Methodist Church in Corning with Rev. John Michael officiating under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
