David L. Hill, 64, Piedmont, Missouri, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on Sept. 22, 1957, to parents Clacy “Cricket” F. and Dossie Louise (Hoffman) Hill.
David was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He grew up in Wayne County and lived in Cuba, Missouri for about eight years. He was married to Karren Heaton, and she precedes him in death.
David enjoyed fishing, and hunting. He served in the Air Force and was a pressman for the Daily American Republic (DAR) in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Christian faith. David loved to pick at people. He was a hard worker.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, two brothers: Mike Hill, and Frank Hill, one grandson, Dalton Hill. David is survived by son, James Hill, and wife April of Piedmont, MO, daughters: Mary Rrunk, of Piedmont, Amanda Wolford and husband Dustin, and Chassidy Franklin all of East Prairie, Missouri; sisters, Pauline Grafton and husband Alan of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri, Sue Inman and husband Huey of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Bessie Luettia Cane and Husband Billy of Mississippi, Allecca Wills and husband Aaron of Paragould, Arkansas; ten grandsons, one granddaughter; one great grandson.
David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation was held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, also in the Piedmont Chapel.
Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Alan Grafton, Arlie Nole Jr., Aaron Wills, Paul Powell, Gabe Hill, and Dustin Wolford served as pallbearers.
