Darlene Hastings was born Doris Darlene Murray in Harviell on Sept. 18, 1936, daughter to Lawrence and Lois( nee Randles) Murray. She died at Baisch Nursing Center, Oct. 2, 2021 at the age of 85. Darlene worked as a salesperson for Mueller Electric. She was of Penecostal faith. She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, flower gardening, fishing and playing the piano and singing...

Darlene Hastings was born Doris Darlene Murray in Harviell on Sept. 18, 1936, daughter to Lawrence and Lois( nee Randles) Murray. She died at Baisch Nursing Center, Oct. 2, 2021 at the age of 85.

Darlene worked as a salesperson for Mueller Electric. She was of Penecostal faith. She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, flower gardening, fishing and playing the piano and singing.

She especially cherished time spent with her family. She became very interested in genealogy and researched both hers and her husband’s family history.

Darlene and Junior were the recipient of the Yard of Distinction award from P.R.I.D.E.(People Really Interested in De Soto’s Environment).

Darlene is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Junior Hastings; her children: Brian(Lisa) Hastings, De Soto, Sherri (Larry) Sacker, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Rhonda (Jack) Morris, De Soto, Missouri; three grandchildren: Wesley, Spencer and Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Rosalie, Bennett, and Wake anda sister, Gloria June (Leroy) Murray, Harviell, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leon Murray.
