Robert Louis Perkins
Robert Louis Perkins passed on Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 in Poplar Bluff Missouri. He was born in Campbell, Missouri on November 5, 1943 to Clarence and Ellen Perkins. He was one of 11 children. Siblings include Lenore Hargrave of Crystal City, Missouri, Ellen Siebert of Fenton, Missouri, Joe Perkins of Troy, Missouri, and Phyllis Pipkin of Springfield Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Maurice Perkins, Lloyd Perkins, Evelyn Saffel, Clarence Perkins Junior, Paul Perkins, and Rose Hyde.
In 1977, Robert started Perkins Plumbing and it continues today with his son David and grandsons Matt and Joe. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting, skeet shooting, bluegrass music, his family, and his community. He volunteered regularly at the Bread Shed in Poplar Bluff. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to them in his honor.
On May 16, 1964, he married Caroline Marie Parks. They had three children together, Cindy and Chuck Blackburn of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, David and Nancy Perkins of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Robin Lady of Wildwood, Missouri; five grandchildren Matt and Amy Blackburn, Andrew and Kierston Perkins, Chelsea Burfield, Joe Blackburn, and Michael Lady; and four great grandchildren Caden, Carolina, Maximus and Ellie. Caroline passed on January 2, 2008.
On December 12, 2009 he married Barbara Johnson, she survives as well as three stepdaughters Dottie and Junior Law of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Michelle and Bill Brittain of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Misty and Mark Turner of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; four grandchildren Andrea and Shane Eason, Matt Brittain, Allison Law, Kiersten Turner; and two great grandchildren Reagan and Charlotte.
