Firefighters responded to an alarm at 3 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, at Westwood Hills Healthcare, 3100 Warrior Lane. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a malfunctioning sprinkler system

Firefighters responded to an alarm at 11:31 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Gates Rubber Company, 1650 Rowe Parkway. Employees advised a steam line had ruptured, setting off the alarm.

Firefighters responded to a call at 7:49 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, of an unauthorized burn at 821 Cedar St. They used a booster line and 10 gallons of waster to put out the fire and advised occupant Larry Rushing about the city’s burn ordinance.

Firefighters resounded to a call at 4:49 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, about a possible structure fire at the 638 Abbott Street hone occupied by Nathan Hall. Upon arrival, they discovered an unauthorized burn in the back yard. They used 15 gallons of water to put the fire out.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 62-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, on U.S. Highway 67, three miles south of Greenville.

According to the report, Steven L. Moore, 62, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2008 Kia Sportage southbound when it ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Moore was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

McFall, 62, of Fisk was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in Butler County on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, no seatbelt, no insurance and failure to display valid plates. He was booked at the Butler County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Two people sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 9:07 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, on the south Outer Road, 10 miles west of Dexter.

According to the report, Lonnie J. Willett, 42, of Clarkton was operating a 2004 GMC Sierra westbound when it traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Willett and a 16-year-old male passenger in the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Robbie W. Lance, 43, of Kennett was arrested at 3:32 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, in Dunklin County on a felony failure to appear warrant for dangerous drugs, nine Dunklin County failure to appear warrants for traffic offenses and on suspicion of no seatbelt. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Two juveniles were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at the intersection of Pisos Point Road and Whitten Road in Wappapello.

According to the report, a 14-year-old male from Wappapello was operating a 2013 Honda Rancher ATV northbound when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned, ejecting both occupants.

The 14-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, while a 15-year-old male passenger from Wappapello sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, on Highway 142, one mile west of Oxly.

According to the report, Rita J. Nesbit, 49, of Naylor was operating a 2003 Ford F-150 when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Nesbit sustained moderate injuries, while a 10-year-old male passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 61-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, on Highway 53, five miles north of Campbell.

According to the report, Fletcher Whittaker, 61, of Campbell was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Lumina northbound when it ran into the rear of a northbound 1993 John Deere 5400 tractor operated by Michael A. Kuper, 38, of Campbell.

Whittaker was transported by private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
