Cornelius “Boomer” Barker, 52, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Barker was born on March 11, 1969, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was the owner/manager of Barker Plumbing and enjoyed bass fishing, deer hunting, drag racing, RC flying and spending time with his daughter at the softball field.
He was a graduate of Neelyville High School and a veteran of the United State Navy.
On July 8, 2006, he married Regenia Gunells in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Alicia Marie Barker of Poplar Bluff, Blake Brown of Paragould, Arkansas.; mother, Mary Garvin of Neelyville, Missouri.; sisters, Susan Gardner of Doniphan, Missouri, Tammie Kleinpeter of Spring, Texas., Nancy Barker, of Orlando, Florida.; brothers, Samuel Garvin of Cardwell, Missouri, Bryan Robinson of Nixa, Missouri.; two Nephews,Jim Main and Vernon Barker; nieces, Jamie Campbell, Mickey Griffin, and Michelle Isom; as well as a great nephew, Gage Barker and one sister-in-law, Sharon Barker, mother-in -law, Susan Hampton.
Boomer was preceded in death by his father, Allen Barker; one brother, Jerry Barker and father in law, Jim Hampton.
Visitation will take place after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021 at the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville.
