Patricia Mae Johnson, 82, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Sept. 2, 2021 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. She was born April 9, 1939, in Flint, Michigan to the late Raymond Bugbee and Elsie Mae “DeLong” Bugbee.
On May 23, 1987, She was married to Perry Johnson.
She was a Free Methodist and enjoyed reading the bible in a historical sense and in fellowship with the Lord. She was a retired High School English and Journalism teacher for Neelyville High School. She enjoyed reading, editing, diagramming sentences, correcting grammar, photography. She also enjoyed teaching in a variety of situations for migrant children, diabetes education, adult education, English as a second language, and many other leadership roles. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. As a child in 1953, she survived the deadliest tornado in Michigan.
She is survived by three Children; Timothy Tyler and wife Mary of Fullerton, CA, Titus Tyler and wife Kimberly of Fullerton, CA/ and Tonica Winchester of Poplar Bluff, MO as well as four grandchildren; Mikayla, Kelsey and husband Jake, Alyse and Brayden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister; Esther Jean Burns and three brothers; Marvin Bugbee, Larry Bugbee and Thomas Bugbee as well as one son-in-law; DeWayne Winchester.
Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tues, Sept 7, 2021, in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelyville, MO.. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery at Divernon, Ill. with a graveside starting at 10 a.m. Thurs, Sept. 9, 2021.
