Witnesses say gunfire was exchanged shortly before 11 p.m. Friday in Poplar Bluff.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Gardner Street in reference to shots fired into a house from the street, officials report.
While officers investigated this shooting, they reported hearing shots fired north of their location.
Additional officers responded to that area.
“A round had struck a house in the 600 block of West Lexington Street,” officers said.
A witness reported that two passenger vehicles exchanged gunfire on West Lexington, between Garfield and Alice streets.
