Joana Kay Lipsey 70, of Poplar Bluff, died August 6, 2021 at her residence. She was born on June 14, 1951 in Ava, Missouri to the late Edgar and Elona Levan.

On December 16, 1967 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Lipsey in Campbell, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. She loved working in the garden, fishing, visiting nursing homes spreading God’s word, she was also a volunteer at KOKS radio in Poplar Bluff.

Surviving is her daughter, Celena Oneil (Shawn) of San Francisco California, stepdaughter; Charlotte Lipsey of Boonville, Missouri, Annette Parsons (Steve) of Paola, Kansas; two sisters; Irene Gullivee of Phoenix, Arizona, Reba Howe of Mt. Grove Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; five brothers, Albert, Vernon, Raymond, Melvin and Arthur Levan; three sisters, Lorene Keeton, Arlena Suskey, Arletta Dewhurst.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday August 14 at Fowler Sullivan Funeral Home at 844 Cedar Street, the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brian Whitlock officiating . Burial will follow in the Black Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery located on 459 county road 467 in Poplar Bluff.

Pallbearers will be Travis Lipsey, Shawn Oneil, Steve Parsons, Les Howe, Terry Ray, Donald Lipsey.
