Christina Lynn Clark, 31, of the 300 block of North G Street was arrested on suspicion of peace disturbance at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. She was transported to the police department and released on a summons and her case was forwarded to the prosecutor.

Matthew Wayne Lowry, 35, of Affton was arrested at 2:53 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, on a violation of an order of protection and was given a criminal trespass affidavit. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Christopher Bernard Davis, 50, who had addresses on Grand Avenue, Tenth and Main streets was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Ashcroft and South Broadway on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm, vehicle financial responsibility required and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

A resident in the 1100 block of South 13th Street reported a .45 handgun and a .22 Remington were stolen from his home Wednesday, Aug. 4.

A 27-year-old Fairdealing resident reportedly was assaulted at 6:24 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, in the 2100 block of Woods street.

A business owner in the 700 block of South Westwood reported at 9:43 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, furniture was missing from the store. The incident is being investigated.

A woman reported her wallet was taken from her vehicle at 1:44 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, while she was parked in the 500 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

A resident in the 400 block of Hazel street reported she was assaulted at her residence at 7:34 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5.

A woman reported between 9-11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, her iPhone 12 Pro, a Missouri State identification card, a Capital One credit card and two First Midwest debit cards were stolen in the 700 block of south Westwood Boulevard.

A man reported at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, his wallet was missing after he pumped gas in the 300 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

Alyssa Pennington, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Friday, Aug. 6, at the Walmart Supercenter, 300 block of South Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of shoplifting. She was booked at the Poplar Bluff Police Department and released.

Nick Alcala, 46, and Devini Engle, 29, both of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 5:50 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot, 600 block of S. Westwood Blvd.

Alcala was booked on a warrant for failure to appear on a Greene County warrant for stealing over $750. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Engle was booked on municipal and Butler County warrants for failure to appear on traffic violations and an additional charge of resisting arrest. She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

A woman reported at 10:37 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, her cellphone was stolen in the 700 block of south Westwood Boulevard.

Dewayne Luttrull, 21, Mackenzie Hall, 19, and Elizabeth Clark, 18, all of Poplar Bluff, were arrested in the 3000 block of Oak Grove Road for animal abuse.

They were booked and released pending review by the prosecuting attorney.

Miguel Cooper, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:53 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, in the 500 block of East Pine Boulevard on a warrant for non-support. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

A 44-year-old Fredericktown man reported his black 2002 Ford F150 pickup was stolen at 2:14 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, while it was parked in the 800 block of Kinzer Street.

A 23-year-old Grandin man reported he was assaulted Saturday, Aug. 7, on the Aldi store parking lot in the 600 block of north Westwood Boulevard.

Marchenko Simpson, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, on an outstanding probation/parole warrant for parole violation. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

A man who lives in the 900 block of Park Avenue reported at 9:52 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, several white males forced him into a red passenger vehicle as he stood in front of his residence. He reportedly escaped by leaping from the vehicle in the Kendall Street area. The investigation continues.

A resident in the 1800 block of Thomas Street reported at 2:12 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, she was assaulted at her residence.

A woman in the 200 block of Timmons street reported at 3:08 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, her vehicle was damaged while it was parked at her residence.

Two Poplar Bluff residents reported seeing a white male exposing himself outside a white passenger vehicle parked at Sportsman’s Park on East Pine Street Sunday, Aug. 8. They were able to provide a possible license plate. The investigation continues.

A resident in the 1600 block of Wallace Street reported Sunday, Aug. 8, he was assaulted by three white males in front of his resident.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Poplar Bluff firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident at 3.32 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 703 N. Westwood Boulevard. Everyone was out of the vehicles, no one was injured and the road was cleared.

Firefighters responded to New Life Apostolic Tabernacle, 603 West Victor St., at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, to a report of a gas line that had been struck by a lawn mower. Spire Gas also responded. Fire personnel plugged the leaking gas line and helped Spire secure the scene.

Firefighters responded at 3:39 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, to an authorized burn on the roadside at 217 Lexington. They used the portable water extinguisher and five gallons of water to put out the fire. No one answered the door.

Firefighters responded to an engine compartment of a white Ford F250 on fire under the canopy of Rick’s, 700 Highway 53, at 6:33 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5. Firefighters extinguished the fire, opened the vehicle hood and disconnected the battery. They had two fuel pumps disconnected until the building inspector took a look at them. They used 200 gallons of water to put out the fire. The vehicle was owned by Robert Bolan, 1599 AA Highway.

Firefighters responded to a building fire at 134 W. Harper St. at about 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5. They used a booster line and 50 gallons of water to extinguish a couple of hot spots in the floor of the vacant, unsecured house.

Firefighters responded to the Office Bar and Grill, 420 Maple St., at 12:35 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5. The cleaning crew had set off the alarm.

Firefighters responded at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5., to a mobile property vehicle fire in the 500 block of Cynthia and 500 block of North 10th streets. The vehicle was on the side of the road with a fire in the engine compartment. Firefighters extinguished the fire with 30 gallons of water. The Nissan Versa Silver belonged to Cooper Asberry of 923 Gardner St.

Firefighters responded to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, 3100 Oak Grove Road, at 8:31 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, to remove victims from a stalled elevator. The patient was out of the elevator when the firefighters arrived.

Firefighters responded to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health, 2620 N. Westwood Blvd., at 11:37 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, to a false alarm. The alarm was reset.

Firefighters responded to 1718 Sylvan at 8:51 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, to an unintentional activation of an alarm system. Cooking had set off the alarm.

Firefighters responded to Fairfield Inn & Suites, 3109 Oak Grove Road, at 10:12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, where a smoke detector had been activitated, but there was no fire.

Firefighters responded to a gas order at 2108 Wood St. at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. They used a multi-gas meter and checked the residence. The meter picked up a 5% gas leak around the gas cook stove.

The pilot light was out. Housing Authority and Spire Gas were notified. The gas company did not find any other leaks. The stove was taken out of service until Housing Authority can perform maintenance.

Firefighters responded to Hillcrest Apartments, 445 N Second St., Saturday, Aug. 7. There was a trouble alarm sounding stating there was a problem with the manual pull on the third floor. Firefighters and police checked all floors to make sure all was clear, and housing maintenance was called to work on the alarm.
