Imogene (nee Husketh) Godwin passed away July 22, 2021. She was born in Kennett, Missouri on February 3, 1923, to Charlie and Ida Husketh.

During World War II she did “war work” in St. Louis, Missouri and Detroit, Michigan. After the war, she returned to Qulin, Missouri.

On January 3, 1947, she married Buell E. Godwin, who predeceased her in May of 2010. They resided in Poplar Bluff, Missouri until January 1, 1965, at which time they returned to Michigan where they lived in Southfield and Troy. Imogene was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. She worked in her husband’s Farmers Insurance office until 1985.

Imogene is survived by her only child, Larry (Elsie) Godwin; two grandchildren, Hannah (Jason) Rhodes of Terrace Park, Ohio and Mary (Dan) Mooradian of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nicklas, and William Rhodes and Matthew and Gwendolyn Mooradian. She was predeceased by one great-grandchild, Annika Elizabeth Rhodes.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, July 30 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Qulin Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.
