POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

A Wappapello man’s alleged failure to stop at the intersection of 11th and Martin streets at 10:33 a.m. Sunday, July 25, along with trying to elude the lights and sirens on a Poplar Bluff patrolman’s vehicle, landed him in the Butler County jail.

Steven James Ford, 34, of Wappapello is facing charges of resisting/interfering with an arrest, drugs/paraphernalia possession, first offense of driving while revoked or suspended, not being a financially responsible vehicle owner as well as failure to stop at the stop sign.

According to the police report, when Ford failed to stop at the 11th street intersection, the officer followed with lights and sirens activated onto Winnie and 13th streets, east on Highway 53 and onto County Road 309 to 306, where he came to a complete stop, exiting the vehicle and running.

The officer pursued the suspect and arrested him. A passenger in the 2000 maroon Ford Windstar left the scene. Ford said he didn’t know the other suspect and was just giving the man a ride.

Frank Frederick Fuchs, 60, of Poplar Bluff was arrested Sunday, July 25, in the 300 block of South Westwood Boulevard on a Stoddard County failure to appear warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Fuchs was stopped by a Poplar Bluff Police officer for an expired Missouri registration. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Larrecus D. Thomas, 34, of the 100 block of Sunny Valley was arrested at 3.25 p.m. Saturday, July 24, in the 1600 block of South Broadway on a failure to appear warrant for aggravated non family assault. He was booked in to the Butler County jail.

Khorine Williams, 41, of the1800 block of Indiana was arrested on a Scott County failure to appear warrant Saturday, July 24, on east Pine boulevard.

Misty Dawn Boyles, 46, of the 1300 block of Davis Street was arrested Sunday, July 25, in the 2700 block of North Westwood Boulevard on suspicion of stealing less than $150. She was transported to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, where she was processed and released pending a review by the prosecuting attorney. She also was given a criminal trespass affidavit.
