Planning and Zoning

The Poplar Bluff Planning and Zoning Commission will met at 7 p.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers, 301 S. Fifth St.

Workshop session will include:

• Applicant requests a conditional use permit to operate a daycare center for up to 64 children in a C-3 Central Commercial property located at 331 N. Main St. The applicant is Celina McCain, 273 Hunter Road, Poplar Bluff.

• Applicant requests to rezone property from M-1 Light Industrial to C-2 General Commercial for future development to 1608-1630 S. 11th St., the corner of S. 11th St. and State Highway 53. Applicant is Jonas Duckett, 2480 Three Rivers Blvd., Suite 2, Poplar Bluff.

In the voting session, an applicant requests a conditional use permit to operate a daycare center for up to 10 children in a RS-1 Rural Residential district. The property is located at 2880 Carrie Ann Circle. The applicant is Cristian Thompson, 2880 Carrie Ann Circle, Poplar Bluff.

Historical Preservation

Due to a lack of items on the agenda, the Poplar Bluff Historical Preservation Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled. The next scheduled meeting is at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11.

Plumbing Board

The Poplar Bluff Plumbing Board meeting will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the City Council chambers, 301 S. Fifth St.

New business will be the approval of the journeyman plumber’s test score, Ben Norwod.

The Board of Adjustment meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, at the City Council chambers, 301 S. Fifth St.

Under new business, an applicant requests a 10-foot front-yard variance on the north side of 316 W. Victor St. The applicant is Quality Tech Transmission Center LLC.
