BELL CITY — Two Stoddard County residents were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of highways Y and N, four miles south of Bell City. BELL CITY — Two Stoddard County residents were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of highways Y and N, four miles south of Bell City.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Judy A. Kirby, 67, of Dexter was operating a 2017 Buick Enclave southbound on Highway N when it drove into the path of a westbound 2015 GMC Sierra operated by Matthew T. Merrick, 28, of Bloomfield, striking Merrick’s vehicle.

Kirby suffered moderate injuries in the crash, while a passenger in her vehicle, Jeanith A. McClard, 60, of Dexter suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center.
