Carol Wayne Taylor, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away June 16, 2021 at his home, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Mr. Taylor was born November 28, 1942 in Poplar Bluff to Russel and Ollie (Sims) Taylor, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are three brothers, Richard, Ivan and Jerry Taylor, and daughter-in-law, Barb Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Crigler) Taylor, who he married on June 13, 1972 in Guntersville, Alabama. Also surviving are two sons, John Taylor of Poplar Bluff and Ron Taylor of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; brothers, Bob Taylor and Paul (Connie) Taylor of Poplar Bluff and Don (Melva) Taylor of Statesboro, Georgia. Also surviving are sisters, Marie Groffell of Apple Valley, California and Diana (Lee) Reed and Vicky (Al) Barton, of Poplar Bluff. He is survived by four grandchildren, Ben Taylor, Candace (Stephen) Board, Chelsea Taylor and Hannah Taylor, six great grandchildren, Bailey Taylor, Chloe Taylor, Lexi Waite, Breana Board, Layla Board, and Axel Hackworth. Mr. Taylor is survived by two special friends, Judy Hildrich and Larry McClellan and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Taylor, who graduated from Poplar Bluff High School, was a U.S. Army veteran. He was employed by M&A Electric Power Cooperative until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting and playing pool and cards. He especially loved taking his grandchildren and great-grandchildren to Current River.
