POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT City firefighters responded at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1710 Sanders. City firefighters responded at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 14, to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1710 Sanders. According to the report, while en route, dispatch informed firefighters that a car had struck a motorcycle. City firefighters responded at 10:18 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, to a report of a fire alarm at 1034 Nickey Street. Upon arrival, it was determined that someone cooking had set off the alarm and there was no fire.

City firefighters responded at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, to a report of an unauthorized burn at 441 North Second Street. According to the report, firefighters discovered someone burning trash at the location and the fire was extinguished using 20 gallons of water. The occupants were advised about the city’s burn ordinance.

Timothy Earl Lindsey, 39, of the 2200 block of County Road 421 was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in the 700 block of Highway 53 on suspicion of third-degree assault, possession of amphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lindsey was booked at the Butler County jail.

Mark Anthony Codger, 52, of the 600 block of North Eighth Street was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, on Fifth Street and two failure to appear warrants out of Franklin County for failure to equip brakes and failure to secure load. He was booked at the Butler County jail and released.

__BUTLER COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT__

Billie Kristine Hussmann, 21, of the 2100 block of County Road 224 was booked and released from the Butler County jail on Tuesday, June 15, on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility.

Christopher Lee Law, 43, of the 200 block of County Road 468 was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, June 15, for a parole violation.

William Anthony Morris, 31, of Couch, Missouri, was booked and released from the Butler County jail on Tuesday, June 15, on suspicion of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs.

Donald Andrew Raymer, 31, of the 1700 block of Garfield was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, June 15, for a parole violation.

Angelina Marie Sansoucie, 38, of Williamsville was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, June 15, on three failure to appear warrants for driving while revoked or suspended, operating a vehicle without a valid license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

__MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL__

A Poplar Bluff female suffered moderate injuries in a one vehicle accident at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, on County Road 523, two miles north of Poplar Bluff. According to the report, a 2013 Polaris RZR operated by Misty D. Dotson, 45, of Poplar Bluff was travelling southbound on County Road 523 when it travelled off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Dotson was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A single vehicle crash sent two Van Buren females to the hospital. The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m. Monday, June 14, when a 2016 Dodge Journey operated by Heather D. Moreland, 46 of Van Buren was travelling eastbound on US 60, two miles east of Fisk, when it ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned, ejecting the driver and damaging approximately 50 feet of guard rail and eight posts. Moreland and a 13-year-old juvenile female were transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for moderate and minor injuries.

Nicole M. Carrick, 33, from Cuba, Missouri, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. Monday, June 14, on suspicion of DWI – prior offender, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in crash, and no valid operator’s license. Carrick was booked at the Wayne County jail on a 12-hour hold.
