City firefighters responded at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Highway PP. According to the report, when firefighters arrived, Poplar Bluff Police Department officers and Butler County EMS were already at the location. When the vehicles were removed, they cleaned the roadway.

According to the report, when firefighters arrived, there were no injuries, and the vehicles were able to drive off the roadway. Firefighters then cleaned the roadway.

City firefighters responded at 4:14 p.m. Tuesday, June 1 to a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 1319 North Westwood Boulevard. According to the report, they assisted EMS with the loading of one patient for transport to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

City firefighters responded at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, to a report of a possible fire in a breaker box at 838 Davis Street. According to the report, firefighters discovered smoke coming from the breaker box. They contacted Municipal Utilities, who arrived and shut power to the location at the pole. After power was shut off, firefighters discovered that arcing in the breaker box had cause a fire, but it was contained in the box. They informed the homeowner the breaker box and corresponding wiring had to be replaced.

City firefighters responded at 3:17 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, to a report of smoke at 601 Kinzer Street. According to the report, when firefighters arrived, they were taken to Apartment 3, where occupants said smoke was coming from a closet. Firefighters could not see or smell smoke at the location. Theoccupants said they were using the breaker to the air conditioner to turn it on and off and were advised to not use the A/C unit until the landlord of the property could have it checked out.

A Poplar Bluff juvenile and adult suffered minor injuries in a two-car crash at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, on Highway 142, two miles west of Neelyville. According to the report, a 2020 Jeep Latitude operated by Marcus A Donnell, 39, of Poplar Bluff was travelling westbound on Highway 142 when it was struck from behind by a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro operated by Tamera D. Davidson, 53, of Doniphan. Donnell and a 16-year-old juvenile were transported by private conveyance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A two-vehicle crash on Business 67 South, a half mile south of Poplar Bluff, caused minor injuries to a Poplar Bluff man Tuesday, June 1. According to the report, a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro operated by Jason C. Potter, 44, of Poplar Bluff was travelling northbound on Business 67 when a 2009 Toyota Tacoma operated by Earl L. Wells, 65, of Poplar Bluff failed to slow down, striking the Camaro. Potter was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

An Anderson, South Carolina, man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, on US 67, three miles north of Poplar Bluff. According to the report, a 2020 Freightliner operated by Robert C. Kittle, 30, of Cleveland, Tennessee, was travelling northbound on US 67 when a 2020 Toyota Camry operated by Morris F. Long, 78, of Anderson, South Carolina, pulled into the path of the Freightliner. Morris was transported by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
