Dustin Edward Calvert, 28, of Williamsville was arrested Monday, May 17, on suspicion of peace disturbance/domestic. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Merissa Marie Jaco, 21, of Corning, Arkansas, was arrested Monday, May 17, on a failure to appear warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and a capis warrant for stealing $750 or more. She was booked into the Butler County jail.

Shekeena Marie Liau, 29, of Neelyville was arrested Tuesday, May 18, on suspension of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinod. She was booked into the Butler County jail

Mark Berry Teachey, 36, of 2221 Highway 142 was arrested Tuesday, May 18, on a failure to appear warrant for domestic assault. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:52 p.m. Monday, May 17, on Highway 25, one mile north of Malden. According to reports, a 2015 Nissan Rouge driven by Jonathan W. Eggert, 18, of Dexter was following too closely and struck the rear of a 2012 Chervolet Cruze driven by Jahvashea V. Farmer, 27, of Malden.

Occupants of the Chervolet, Farmer and a 7-year-old male, were transported with minor injuries by Medic One Ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH in Dexter. Celina R. Corzine, 18, of Bernie, an occupant of the Nissan, was transported with moderate injuries by Stoddard County Ambulance to Saint Francis in Cape Girardeau. Eggert was taken with moderate injuries by private vehicle to Saint Francis in Cape Girardeau.

Christopher A. Spicer, 32, of Doniphan was arrested at 9:10 a.m. Monday, May 17, in Ripley County on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, and felony unlawful possession of a firearm. He was held in Ripley County.

Jeffrey B. Brown, 21, of Broseley was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Monday, May 17, in Butler County on suspicion of DWI (drugs) and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Jon A. Hise, 60, of Wappapello was arrested at 9:38 p.m. Monday, May 17, in Wayne County on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance inside the county jail and felony possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He was held in the Wayne County Jail.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 2:42 p.m. Saturday, May 15, to Mark Twain Caring Center, 3001 May St., to a fire alarm. While en route, they were informed a patient pulled the alarm.

Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 4:53 p.m. Saturday, May 15, to a vehicle fire at the Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 333 S. Westwood Blvd. The cargo area of a pickup truck was on fire. The truck had transported in the bed a charcoal mini grill that had been used prior to going to Walmart. Heat from the grill melted the plastic bed liner and caused it to catch on fire. Bystanders removed the grill and used a sweatshirt to extinguish the fire. Fire personnel used approximately 30 gallons of water and the booster line to make sure the fire was extinguished.
