Poplar Bluff police are investigating an armed robbery and home invasion that happened around 4 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Memorial Drive.
According to Capt. J.R. Keirsey, two assailants armed with handguns gained entry at the location.
They tied up the victim while they ransacked the home, he said.
A large sum of money was allegedly stolen by the suspects.
The victim is reported to have suffered superficial wounds but did not require treatment. Officers were called by the victim at 5 a.m., after the suspects had untied the victim, according to the report.
The suspects were described as masks, but no other description was available as of Friday morning.
