Jeremy Stevens, 46, of Poplar Bluff passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 in Dexter.
Jeremy was born March 28, 1975 in Farmington, Missouri. He and Jordan Schindler were married October 28, 2000 in Cape Girardeau. She survives.
Jeremy enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was riding his side by side, going to the river, hunting with his son, Connor and Richard, campfires or telling truth tales on the front porch of his Vulcan cabin. He enjoyed sports, especially watching Connor, play basketball. Jeremy also enjoyed letting his daughter, Maggie, paint his nails and buying her ice cream from the ice cream truck. Jeremy had a personality that made people smile when he was around, just as he smiled over a plate of his mama’s biscuits and gravy, because Jordan never made it... and he told her about it... a lot, always trying to get the last word on her. Jeremy will be deeply missed by many family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Jeremy is survived by two children, Connor and Maggie Stevens of the home; his mother, Jeannie (Richard) Westmoreland of Annapolis, Missouri; two sisters, Jennifer (Adam) Giovando of Fort Worth, Texas and Beth (Jeremiah) L’heureux of Piedmont; his father-in-law, Wayne Schindler of Puxico and numerous family and friends.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Stevens; his mother-in-law, Nancy G. Schindler and his grandparents, George and Virginia Stevens and Bill and Nadine Slusher.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 16 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Willow Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David McCormick officiating.
Burial will follow in Annapolis Cemetery in Annapolis, Missouri.
