Kay Moody, 67, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died March, 20, 2021 at her residence. She was born on February, 27, 1954 to the late Jack Bridges and Arleva Mangrum nee Smith in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Nancy Thayer Warren, son-in-law, Tristan Warren and her grandson, Tristanlee Warren, all of Naylor, Missouri. Her children and grandson were her pride and joy.
She is also survived by three sisters, Debra Mangrum, Sharon Foster and Sue Gann, all of Poplar Bluff.
Kay was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Bridges and Bobby Mangrum, both of Poplar Bluff.
Throughout her life, Kay enjoyed quilting and reading. She took great pride in her home and her yard was often the envy of the neighborhood.
Her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior was unwavering. Kay believed in family and will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart. She would do anything to help others.
Kay retired from the Daily American Republic newspaper in 2016, after 33 years as a staff member.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held from noon - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at New Home General Baptist Church, 1864 State Hwy AA, Poplar Bluff.
