William E. Coleman, 40, of Malden was arrested on a warrant for nonpayment. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Firefighters responded to a grass fire at Ferguson Grove Park at 4:21 p.m. Monday, March 8. Upon arrival, they discovered the park department had burned leaves but left them unattended. According to the report, firefighters used 50 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.
Two people were injured in a crash when a tractor pulled into the path of an automobile about 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, on Highway 142 at Highway HH, five miles east of Neelyville.
According to the report, Dennis R. Alford, 62, of Poplar Bluff was driving westbound in a 1996 International 8100 tractor when he pulled into the path of a 2016 Dodge Ram being driven by Charles Johnson, 77, of Neelyville.
Johnson was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries; his car was totaled.
