Terrance J. Wood, 78, of Williamsville received minor injuries when his 2015 Jeep Cherokee ran off Highway 67, eight miles north of Poplar Bluff at 5:35 p.m. Friday. Feb. 5. According to patrol reports, Wood ran into the median, returned to the roadway, overturned, slide off the roadway and stuck a tree. Wood was take by emergency medical services to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Willie L. Washington, 52, of Malden was arrested at 10:04 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in New Madrid County on suspicion of being of non-compliant sex offender, speeding and no seat belt. He was held in New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department.

Jesse O. Stricklan-Schewell, 31, of Dexter was arrested at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in Butler County on suspicion of felony-possession of controlled substance - methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failed to display valid plants and no insurance. He was booked in the Butler County jail.

Rebecca J. Franklin, 31, of Dexter was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in Stoddard County on suspicion of felony DWI (persistent offender) and driving while revoked. She was released for medical reasons.

Agoain, 40, of Wappappello was arrested at 9:51 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in Stoddard County on a felony Jefferson County warrant for non support, suspicion of possession of marijuana, suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and suspicion of driving while revoked. He was booked into the Stoddard County Jail.

Poplar Bluff Fire Department
Poplar Bluff firefighters were dispatched at 7.57 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, to 2865 Tucker Road, to a vehicle fire. Firefighters found a 2007 Nissan Altima with flames coming from the engine compartment. They put out the flames. When Rushin Towing removed the vehicle, firefighters cleaned the debris and made contact with the manager at McAlister’s Deli to show him the parking lot damage.
According to the PBFD report, the vehicle was owned by Danny Hendrickson but the driver was Adam Bishop.
