Alex Hutson, Junior, 1933-2020, passed away suddenly Christmas Eve 2020 nearing the age of 88. He is greatly missed by his loving family and dear friends.
Junior was a lifelong farmer and resident of Broseley, Missouri. He was one of the first in the county to own a tractor, and one of the first in the area to raise rice. Although farming was his passion, he also loved to bird hunt with his son and close friends and had several good bird dogs over the years and would tell stories of the days back when he coon-hunted with his buddies or when they went trot-line fishing. He also raised and trained both trail horses and Quarter horse race horses, having many adventures with both that bring a lot of good memories. In later years, he loved to go to Bluegrass festivals and travel with the love of his life, Peggy. He worked hard to make a good life, he was a devoted family man, loving Grandpa ‘Paw’, hardworking, honest and true to his word and he loved us all dearly.
Alex is survived by the love of his life, Peggy Hutson; along with children, Larry (Carolyn) Hutson of Greenville, Missouri, Teresa (Ross) Gilmore of Palm City, Florida and Lora Lee Hutson of Ash Grove, Missouri and by Kaye (Kenny) Spencer of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren, Cherish Heydenreich, Kristal Hutson Aldana, Joshua Trout, Emily J Warren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters and niece, Barbara Bynum, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents A.O. and Minnie Hutson; a brother, Wayne Oliver Hutson; sisters, Dorothy Bridges, Cuba James, Ruby Baker, Lottie Bynum, by Rebecca Cook and by great-grandson Dalton Alex Trout.
A memorial service, to be announced later, will be held at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
