Dean Edward Crudgington, son of the late George ‘Eddie’ Crudgington and Lora Lee (Armes) Crudgington born on August 25, 1955 in Poplar Bluff and departed this life on January 20, 2021 in Fenton, Mo. He had attained the age of sixty-five years, four months and twenty-six days.

Dean had resided in Ellsinore since 1985 and was formerly of Poplar Bluff. He was of the Christian faith. He retired from Kerasotes Theatres. He enjoyed working on the farm with his grandchildren and his sidekick Gus, his miniature Dachshund. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson and working on his Kubota tractor. He was a proud leader of his grandson’s boy scouts troop for several years. He had a huge heart and loved helping others. His happiness was contagious, he could always put a smile on your face, even on the worst day. Family meant the world to him; he nurtured and inspired his grandkids every day of his life. He was an amazing husband and an even more incredible dad. He was a one-of-a-kind man and an amazing soul.

On January 7, 1974 he was united in marriage to Sharon Sanders in Poplar Bluff.

Dean is survived by his wife, Sharon Crudgington of Ellsinore; two daughters, Deana Carter and her husband, John R. Carter of Ellsinore and Laura Weible and her husband, Damon Weible of Ellsinore; three grandchildren, John A. Carter and his wife, Jialin (Lexi) Carter of Springfield, Mo., Samantha Carter of Columbia, Mo. and Dean Weible of Ellsinore; sister, Penny Crudgington of South Haven, Miss. and many family and friends who mourn his passing.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
