City firefighters responded at 9:09 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, to a report of an unauthorized fire at 1023 Mary Street and found lumber being burned in the backyard. The fire was extinguished using 20 gallons of water and the occupant was notified about the city’s burning ordinance.
Patrick J. Moore, 44, no address listed, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the WalMart Supercenter on a failure to appear warrant for child support and on suspicion of shoplifting. He booked at the Butler County jail.

Wade T. Walker, 41, of the 2000 block of Thomas Street was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, in the 1400 block of Broadway after a report about someone using a stolen credit card at the Munch & Pump. Walker fled from police, and after a short chase, was apprehended. Walker was found to have four failure to appear warrants, three for health and safety, and one for trespassing. Walker was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Tamisha D. Tilson, 21, of the 500 block of North 2nd Street was arrested at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the 300 block of South 11th Street. Officers were called to a report of a burglary at the address and located Tilson in a back room. Tilson was arrested on a Butler County warrant for aggravated assault. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Tabitha A. Bruder, 43, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:40 p.m. in the 400 block of North Second Street on two failure to appear warrants for first-degree trespassing and tampering with a motor vehicle. She was booked at the Butler County jail.
Lisa Marie Battles, 44, of the 400 block of B Street was booked at the Butler County jail Tuesday, Jan. 19, on two charges of possession of a controlled substance.
