Harold Lynn Parks of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away Jan. 6, 2021, at the hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 57.
He was born Oct. 17, 1963, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the son of Harold and Shirley Akers Parks. He married Kristie Southerly Dec. 12 2015, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Harold lived in Southeast Missouri all of his life. Known for his kindness and selfless service to others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything with a motor. He could always be found working.
Harold is survived by his wife, Kristie Parks of Poplar Bluff; mother, Shirley Parks of Poplar Bluff; son, Matthew (Megan) Parks of Arcadia, Missouri; two daughters, Caity of Hopewell, Missouri and Samantha of West Plains, Missouri; stepdaughter, Kayla (Doug) Dale of Doniphan, Missouri; grandchildren; three sisters, Dawn (Gregg) Harding and Arlanda Elaine Bender, both of Poplar Bluff, and Anita Parks of St Louis, Missouri; and a host of extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Parks; brother, Rocky Parks; and stepson, Brandon Stover.
A Celebration of Harold’s life will be held from 1- 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the Diamond H Ranch Headquarters, Doniphan, Missouri. This celebration will be informal. Burial will be at the Maynard Bend Cemetery, Gamaliel, Arkansas Friday.
