SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announced Monday that Sterling Bank had become an Associate Sponsor of its upcoming enshrinement featuring the Poplar Bluff Mules golf program.
President and Executive Director Jerrald Andrews, along with Sterling Bank President & CEO Scott E. Spencer, announced the agreement. Sterling Bank has purchased 100 tickets for any former or current member of the Poplar Bluff High School golf program to attend the January 31 banquet in Springfield.
The Mules are among the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021, which also includes Pat Colon, former women’s basketball standout at Cape Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University.
“We are delighted to welcome Sterling Bank aboard as an Associate Sponsor,” Andrews said. “Sterling Bank’s generosity will certainly help us make it a memorable day for Poplar Bluff’s golfers.”
Poplar Bluff has 20 top-four finishes at the MSHSAA state golf tournament, the most of any public school, including six state championships.
