Texas man seriously injured in Butler County crash

A 61-year-old Universal City, Texas, man was seriously injured in a crash at 2:55 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, on Highway 67, eight miles north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Mark H. Kelly was operating a 2004 Ford Escape southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Kelly was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
