Imogene Sitzes, 90, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.
She was born in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Reno Lambert and Flora Mae (Hunter) Lambert. She attended the Church of Christ.
She married the love of her life, David R. Sitzes, Dec. 25, 1949 in Sikeston, which they were blessed with four children from their union. She cared for her home as well as enjoyed many interests. Imogene’s talents extended to her joy of interior design, tending to her flowers in the garden, cooking, camping, finding deals at the flea markets and of course, her family.
Imogene is survived by her husband; one son, David L. Sitzes of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Barbara D. Haeffele of St Louis, Deborah J. Muschany of Wildwood, Missouri and Patricia A. Peterson of Poplar Bluff; three brothers, Billy Max Lambert of Dupo, Illinois, Kenneth Earl Lambert and Daniel Lambert, both of Blodgett, Missouri; two sisters, Christine Miller of Sikeston and Helen Morphis of Mountain Home, Arkansas, as well as nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dennis Lambert and Gary Lee Lambert; and one sister, Dorothy Lee Williams.
A private graveside service will be held in Blodgett, being officiated by Elder Rob Duckett and a Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
