Jacqueline Lewis, 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020. She was born Jan. 17, 1965 in Como, Mississippi to Geneva (Anderson) Mack and the late McGhee Mack. She was of the Baptist faith.
She met the love of her life, Wesley Lewis and they were married July 19, 1986 in Broseley. She lived a life as a loving wife and mother. As a longtime resident of Poplar Bluff, she attended and worked at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite things in life were shopping, dancing and loving her children and grandchildren.
Jacqueline is survived by her mother; three daughters, Katrina Hopson and Candace Lewis, both of Poplar Bluff and Olivia Lewis of Horn Lake, Mo.; two honorary sons, Lonnie Lewis of Joint Base Andrews, Maryland and Irving Lewis of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania; five brothers, Michael Anderson and Danny Glasper, both of South Bend, Indiana, Ronnie Mack and Maurice Hamer, both of Memphis, Tennessee and Jerry Hamer of Red Banks, Mississippi; five sisters, Tammy Glasper, Teresa Glasper and Tasha Glasper, all of South Bend, Indiana, and Vallary Hamer and Clayteen Hodges, both of Memphis, Tennessee as well as eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; her devoted husband, Wesley Lewis; two brothers, Kerry Mack and Shelton Hamer; and her grandmother, Gladys Johnson.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held at noon for family only, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Webb. Graveside will be at the City Cemetery. Masks are required for attendance, requested by the family.
