FISK, Mo. — Viola Marie Darnell, 87, of Williamsville, Missouri, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at her residence, in Williamsville. Mrs. Darnell was born April 24, 1933 in Perryville, Missouri. She was a member of the Agee Fellowship Church at Poplar Bluff, where she had faithfully served for 60 years. Mrs. Darnell loved quilting and crafts and had been a volunteer at UCAN for several years. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren...

FISK, Mo. — Viola Marie Darnell, 87, of Williamsville, Missouri, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at her residence, in Williamsville.

Mrs. Darnell was born April 24, 1933 in Perryville, Missouri. She was a member of the Agee Fellowship Church at Poplar Bluff, where she had faithfully served for 60 years. Mrs. Darnell loved quilting and crafts and had been a volunteer at UCAN for several years. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On June 13, 1953, she married Cecil Darnell at the Methodist Church in Perryville. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2017.

She is survived by one daughter: Debra Hellums and husband, Don, and one son: Reggie Darnell and wife, Karen, all of Williamsville; three grandchildren: Brian Hellums and wife, Amy, Justin Darnell and wife, Audrey and Rebecca Allen; 10 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Abigail, Nathaniel, and Kaitlyn Hellums, Daniel, Noah and Jacob Darnell and William Tait, Caedmon and Rosalie Allen; two sisters: Doris Ruessler and Melba Funke and husband, Charlie; two sisters-in-law: Helen Crawford and Martha Darnell.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Elizabeth Hellums; her parents, John and Zella (Kennon) Clampitt; father and mother-in-law: Arthur Lee and Nettie Lavona (Morse) Darnell; one brother: Wilbur Clampitt; and two sisters: Anna Porter and Ina Jean Clampitt.

The family will have a private funeral service. Public graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Williamsville. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Williamsville. Memorials may be given to Agee Fellowship Church, 38 County Road 525, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901
