Patty Lou Little, 85, of Rock Island, Tennessee, formerly from Poplar Bluff, Missouri went to be with her Lord Jesus Dec. 8, 2020 at 4:33 p.m. with her family surrounding her.
Patty was born Dec. 17, 1934 in Poplar Bluff to Walter and Daisy Stamps.
She loved the Lord with all her heart. Patty will be missed by many and left a legacy of strength and faith in Jesus! Her main purpose was to teach her children about the love of Jesus and to make heaven their eternal home. Patty was of the Pentecostal faith.
Patty had a few little quotes she would often say to her children and grandchildren... “Now ain’t that purty”...”I’m rough and tough from Poplar Bluff”...”You oughta be ashamed of yourself” “You better straighten up, Jesus is coming back!”
Patty had nine children, two stepchildren and many nieces and nephews who were like her own.
Patty is survived by seven children: Sharon Ray (Alan), John Ray (Terry), Janie Lane (Mark), Jeanie Roles, Tim Little (Serelda), Misti Reynolds (Allen), David Little (Leslie); one stepdaughter: Norma Jean Godwin (Jim); one sister: Shirley Tawfeek of Lake St. Louis,: one brother and sister-in-law: Fred and Lavone Stamps of Troy, Missouri; 30 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents: Walter and Daisy Stamps; her husband: Rev. Johnnie Little; two sons: Stephen Ray and Michael Ray; two grandsons: Perry Smith and Gabriel Reynolds; a son-in-law: Rick Roles; one brother and sister-in-law: Gene and Pat Stamps; one stepson: Bob Little; a nephew: David Tawfeek; a great-nephew: Sean Bright; two nieces: Carolyn Chappel and Karen Stamps: and her best friend and cousin: Deana Goins.
Services are Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at Family Worship Center on Highway 53 in Poplar Bluff. Visitation will be at 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m., the funeral from 12:45 - 2 p.m. Burial will be at Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri
