Freeman Leroy Dever Jr., 86, of Paragould, Arkansas, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Arkansas.
Mr. Dever was born Dec. 7, 1933 in Fisk, Missouri, son of the late Freeman Dever Sr. and Alta (Bryant) Dever. On Dec. 24, 1951, he married Dorothy Faye Farris. She survives.
Also surviving are four daughters: Deborah Arthur of Paragould, Arkansas, Sharon Crowe of Tamaroa, Illinois, Pamela Dever of Roach, Missouri and Lisa Miller of Camdenton, Missouri, two brothers: Robert (Linda) Dever and Wayne (Helen) Dever, both of Poplar Bluff; one sister: Iva Wilkerson of Essexville, Michigan; eight grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters: Patsy Mitchell and Lavella Dever; two brothers: Jerry and Clyde Dever.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joseph Crowe and Rev. Bradley Arthur officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk, Missouri.
