Wendle “Wendy” Hendrix, 84, of Qulin, Missouri, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 at Malden Nursing & Rehab in Malden, Missouri.
Mr. Hendrix was born July 1, 1936 in Qulin, son of the late Oliver and Ellen Hendrix. He served in the U.S. National Guard from 1956 to 1965. He was retired from MFA Oil Company and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
On May 14, 1962 he married Carol Sue Colter. She preceded him in death Nov. 10, 2017.
He is survived by three children: Wendle Hendrix, Jr. and wife, LeAnn, and Sheila McGath and husband, Wes, both of Qulin, and Paula Hurn and husband, Jeff, of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters: Dianne Trout of Montgomery, Alabama, and Elaine Lawrence of Saint Louis, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Shawna Hendrix, Dawn and Mark Miller, Jeremy and Millie Tolliver, Trey and Megan Davis, Lacy and Dan Caprario, Julia and Andrew Perryman, Allen and Zack Hendrix; seven great- grandchildren: Mike and Mason Miller, Matthew Hendrix, Ellie, Noah and Henry Davis and Calvin Caprario.
He was also preceded in death by one great-grandchild: Dalton Trout.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Leutert officiating. Burial will be in Qulin Cemetery at Qulin.
