Teddy Dean Spradling, 84, Doniphan, Missouri, succumbed to a month long battle against complications related to COVID-19 on Thursday Dec. 3, 2020 at Kindred Healthcare in Green Cove Springs North, Florida.
He was born in Ripley County and was a Navy Veteran. After leaving the military, he was employed as an aircraft technician by McDonnell Douglas, retiring after 32 years of lauded service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eunice Spradling of Ripley County, Missouri.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Cyrilla Spradling; loving father of daughter Jody and husband. Ray, Boone of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; sons, Wade and wife, Lynn, of Doniphan, Missouri, Curtis and wife, Linda, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Sheldon and wife, Cindy, of Doniphan, Missouri; proud grandfather to granddaughter Jessie and husband, RJ, Koch, grandson Cody, granddaughter Brittany and husband, Jacob, Haynes, granddaughter Mallory Hernandez; cherished by sister, Stella Ray Davis; brother, Jonathan Covington and wife, Valetta, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Ted enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting on the land, fishing whenever he could, and spending time with family and friends.
There will be no services and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date. He will be remembered for his kind heart, keen sense of humor and his love of the pursuit for the biggest fish.
