City firefighters responded at 11:14 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, to a report of a trash fire in the 900 block of North Second Street.
According to the report, firefighters found an unauthorized burn at the 905 N. Second St. residence owned/occupied by Brian Harwell.
Harwell reportedly was cleaning trash out of the house and burning it in the back yard.
Firefighters told Harwell about the city’s burn ordinance and used 50 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, to a report of a woman trapped in a container behind Casey’s General Store, 599 E. Pine St.
According to the report, the manager told firefighters a man had left after coming into the store yelling about a woman being stuck in a container. The call reportedly was false.

City firefighters responded at 5:29 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, to a report of a trash fire in the 2000 block of Sanders Street.
According to the report, firefighters found an unauthorized burn involving a small trash fire in the back yard of the 2005 Sanders St. residence occupied by Shonerika Hughes.
Firefighters reportedly told Hughes about the city’s burn ordinance and used 20 gallons of water to put out the fire.

County firefighters responded at 1:07 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, to a fire involving a camper at 265 County Road 5231.
According to the report, 1999 Prowler camper, owned Leigh Rodgers, was destroyed.

According to the report, the fire damaged a small area and was caused by a downed power line on the state right-of-way.
