Oct. 3, 1960 - Nov. 5, 2020
Randolph Eric Clyburn was born a poster child Oct. 3, 1960 in St. Louis, Mo. His handicaps were due to a drug called thalidomide. This was given to his mother for morning sickness. His parents, Tex Rickard and Bonnie Clyburn preceded him in death, along with his brother, Glen Rickard (Buddy).
This saved soul departed this life to be with Jesus Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020. His son and daughter were holding his hands. He was of the Pentecostal faith and was previously a Sunday school teacher.
Survived by sister Patricia Clyburn (Burgard) and husband Gary; his brother Larry and wife Jean Clyburn; his son Tyson and wife Jourdan Clyburn; his daughter Hannah and husband Robert Brummel; four grandchildren Blake, Carson, Jace and Bryce; many nephews, nieces and cousins; BFF and confidant Janet Buschbom. He had many friends and friends like family that are too many to mention.
He was a money maker for his senior class. He designed projects that led to a new building, a new sidewalk, a great senior trip with funds to spare. He graduated from East Carter High School in 1978, then went to Linn Technical School in Rolla, Mo.
His first job was at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in St. Louis, as a draftsman then advanced to design a top-secret airplane.
After early retirement, he drafted and designed a multi-million-dollar complex near Van Buren, Mo. He also worked with Janet on several successful endeavors.
Randy was always up for an adventure and good time. He enjoyed being on stage and helping Walter as the sound man. His hobbies included playing pool, being at the river, jamming to music, helping others and problem solving was a favorite. He also enjoyed drinking beer and giving autographs.
Cremation was performed in St. Louis. A Celebration of Life will be held outdoors by the Current River at Bay Nothing on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. weather permitting. We plan to have a bonfire, bring a chair and stay a while. If foul weather, we will gather at Carson Hill Church Pavilion.
