Thelma Ward

Thelma Fay Ward, 81, of Sikeston, Missouri passed away Nov. 15, 2020 at Hunter Acres in Sikeston.

Thelma was born Aug. 9, 1939 to the late Everet and Nellie (Lipps) Green in Weldon, Arkansas. She married Wesley Eugene Ward Jan. 23, 1960, in Poplar Bluff.

Thelma was a member of First Church of God, was a waitress at Scott’s Cafe for 17 years, but she mostly enjoyed being a housewife.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Wesley Eugene Ward; children, Lynn Ward (Billie) of Lexington, Missouri, Lee Ward (Patty) of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Lee Miller of Rombauer, Missouri; and brother, Don Green of Poplar Bluff.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a graveside funeral held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at Sparkman Cemetery with Pastor Ben Higgins officiating.
