Elsie Carter

Elsie Bell Carter, 91, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.

She was born in Doniphan, Missouri to the late Delbert Switzer and Nettie (Tillman) Switzer. She was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff and attended the Northside Church of the Nazarene.

She married the love of her life, William Carter. They were blessed with two lovely children and she cared for her family and home as a homemaker.

She is survived by two sisters, Lee Groves of Poplar Bluff and Vinnie Snider of Park Hills, Missouri as well as six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, a son and daughter, two brothers and three sisters.

Services will be graveside at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2020 in Oak Grove Cemetery of Doniphan, Missouri. Elder Robert Duckett will be the officiant.

Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
