A 24-year-old Poplar Bluff man was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, on Highway 84 at Hayti.
According to the report, Marquis D. Wiggins was operating a 2009 Nissan Armada eastbound when it struck the rear of a 2014 Kia Optima being operated by Alex J. Patterson, 36, of Hayti. After the impact, Wiggins’ SUV then allegedly crossed the center line and struck a 1997 Mack truck being driven westbound by Jeffery L. Burns, 26, of Kennett.
Wiggins was taken by ambulance to West Tennessee Health Care in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for treatment.
Patterson and his 2-year-old passenger of Hayti both received minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti for treatment.
